So for Halloween this year, I got the trick, and not the treat. I woke up with my throat on fire, my nose stuffed up, and a terrible cough that won't go away. The part that really makes me upset is the fact that I have been taking Vitamin C every day for the past month, and yet I still get sick. It's true that I'm working 16 hour days, eating terribly, and getting no exercise, but I thought I'd still be okay. Guess not!
The treat part of Halloween was that I sent out Trick or Treaters for McCain, and they all had a wonderful time! We hit over 600 doors yesterday, which is amazing for my little office, and we made over 600 phone calls. All in all, a terrific day!
So I had a volunteer that came in to make phone calls, and then his wife came to pick him up. He wanted to finish some calls so his wife was waiting for him. In the back part of the office, the bridal shop that is coming in was moving in their dresses into the store, and they had a bunch of kids with them all running around. I had bought a pumpkin earlier in the day and wanted to carve it to say McCain/Palin. So I asked the kids if they wanted to carve a pumpkin, which they totally wanted to, and so I had my volunteers wife, help them carve the pumpkin. This was awesome as it got the little kids out of their parents hair, and my volunteer was able to stay and make more phone calls. What a cool night. Here is the handi-work of the awesome McCain/Palin Pumpkin!
