So it was with great anticipation Thursday night that I went to sleep, with an okay feeling about Pawlenty becoming our new Vice President. As I still had many miles to go, I left my brothers house at 5:30am, and hit the road for New Hampshire. I reached the New York area at about 7:30am, when I hit New York traffic, and my brother called me and told me that Romney was out, and that some woman would become McCain's VP. I was very upset, and I started yelling and honking my horn at annoying cars, more than usual. My brother suggested that I start listening to Talk Radio, to find out more about some woman named Palin. So I turned on the radio, and there was Glen Beck picking apart Obama's speech, when he suddenly stopped and made an announcement that Romney and Pawlenty were out, but some woman named Palin was in. I continued listening as the reports continued to come in, and all the TV and Radio stations were giving Confirmation that Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska was to be McCain's VP pick. I woke up my friend Adam and he started doing research on Palin, and gave me all that he could find. After learning about her for a while, I was feeling better about this, but I was still unsure that McCain would pick a woman. I called the McCain HQ that I was headed to in New Hampshire at 11am, and they told me that they had just received a call from the campaign, confirming Sarah Palin as the VP pick.
I pulled into the Stratham Victory office just after McCain announced Palin as his VP, and then I got to go into the office and listen to Palin. I am incredibly impressed. Palin may not have a lot of experience, but she has 2 years of Executive Experience. She is the mother of 5 children, and she can relate to the majority of the people in the country. I am excited to see what she can do. And if this woman can debate, well, sorry Biden, you will lose!
Please join me in congratulating Senator McCain on a monumental pick, and the best pick for a Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin! I'm so excited to work for this race! The response here in New Hampshire has been amazing. People are really excited, and we've had nothing but positive optimism for this ticket. Support the McCain/Palin ticket today! :)
